It was a pleasure to see such a lovely class of Veteran Bulldogs

(pictured below)

Our Raffle Table again was spilling over with prizes and our homemade cakes were in great demand.

Our Committee were thrilled to hear comments such as:

'It is the most friendly show I've been to'

AND from our Judge:

I really enjoyed my judging and I should like to Congratulate the Committee for producing such a well organised and really friendly show and for making me feel so welcome.

Our Championship Show - October 7th, 2018

Our judge was breed specialist Helena Kosig of Black Hope Bulldogs.  This was Helena's first appointment awarding CC's in the UK and together with Sauli made the long journey from her home in Finland to judge our show.

They are both big Leicester City football fans and having arrived on the Friday evening were able to go to the King Power Stadium and watch 'City' play against Everton on Saturday afternoon.  Unfortunately City lost but this didn't spoil the thrill of being able to support their favourite team.

The entry for our show was 139 dogs and was held at Tomlinson's Kennels, Markfield.  We, the Committee, feel this is a great venue and liked by many exhibitors.  Vehicles cannot be admitted to the car park until 9 a.m. and we would like to thank all exhibitors/visitors for their consideration of this ruling.

Helena brought with her trophies for BIS and RBIS also Finnish glassware containing small bottles of award winning Finnish Gin for the principal winners.

The Club put on a lovely display of past Black Hope Bulldog Champions:

New to this show, alongside the usual Homemade Cakes, Tombola, Raffle and Live Auction, was a Bulldog Bric-a-Brac stall, Christmas Decoration Table and an extra raffle draw of a huge hamper.

Helena awarded the Dog CC and BIS to Bagibeli Billy Ray JW, owned and bred by Sonia and Andy Saxon and the Bitch CC and RBIS to Avaword Connie, owned and bred by Miss A George (understand this was her third CC).  Best Puppy went to Mystyle Shes No Lady At Britanic and Best Veteran to Ch Perfectly Polished For Jackarhys.

The show was buzzing all day with a great ringside and applause was in abundance.

Quote from Helena's critique:  'I felt lovely hospitality and friendly atmosphere'.

We are delighted to welcome a new member to our Committee (2018)

                                                            Jeannette Battaglia.

OUR SPRING SHOW -  March 18th, 2018

Well the weather was atrocious, who would have thought we would be subjected to snow blizzards, snow drifts and below minus temperatures for our 'Springtime Show'!!!!!!!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all our club members, exhibitors and spectators who braved such weather conditions and attended our show.

We had once again an excellent raffle table and our auction was a great success.  Besides our usual homemade cake stall, tombola and clubware we had guess how many Easter eggs in the basket draw and a basket full of homemade dog treats which proved to be very popular.

Our Judge, Lorraine Watkins, arrived in good time bringing with her some lovely mugs for 1st placings and some beautifully embroidered cushions for the principal winners.

Lorraine awarded Best in Show & Best Puppy in Show to:  Mr & Mrs Ironmonger's,

 Burchell Mr Bohannon At Britanic
